Subscription owners have to choose which version of Max to use for future now
Has anyone else seen this yet? I got an email stating that I have to choose which version of Max I want to continue using for future versions, Design or not, like it won't be optional anymore. I wonder how Autodesk figures people should decide about what path they want to take without knowing where that path is going!

One more reason for me to get out of subscription after this one ends. I really don't get autodesk... This smells like they are planning on price change between the products or something along those lines...
EDIT: Forgot to mention... Newtek is getting greedy also. Along with the launch of Lightwave CORE they revealed HARDCORE subscription... So,it sounds like no more free point updates from Newtek.

You already have to pay a fee to receive any kind of tech support from autodesk when using the phone, how much worse can it get?

I don't see why one would buy subscripton unless you HAD to because of people you are working with using a new version. Its a rip.

Being a subs member does give you the latest version every year, the extras (which are a bit weak at the moment) and about 4 gigs worth of training videos.
But, it's just more $$$ grabbing from Autodesk.
