Stretching Maze Paths Without Stretching Textures
show user profile  jde81
Hi Folks,

I'm a bit new to 3DS and can't figure out a quick way to do this. I created a maze by first drawing a bunch of parallel lines on the ground plane for the paths, connecting and cleaning them up them up with the trim/extend modifier, and then extruding them.

What I need to do, is create a version of the same maze but with a bunch of the paths stretched to be longer. The catch is that I need to stretch them without changing the way that the textures are mapped onto the walls (i.e. I want to stretch the walls but not stretch the texture -- the texture elements/mapping should have the same dimensions). Does anyone know of an easy way to do that?

You can try the MapScaler modifier.

Thanks, can you be a little more specific? What do I apply it to exactly?

Have a look at the reference. It explains what the modifier does and how it works.
