How to stop animation flicker????
show user profile  Justin101
Hey all,

I'm doing a simple animation in 3ds Max using Vray.
It's a basic camera pan from left to right looking at a house with landscaping.
All is looking good, but some of the trees and plants are flickering. All plants and
trees are proxys. I render out each frame as a tga file and stitch them all together
in After Effects.

Does anyone know of any render settings that could stop this flicker?
Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

flicker like flashing or flicker as in the leaves are noisey on the edges?

noise - the leaves are smaller then 1 pixel and are popping in and out of frame, double the res or just put a motion blur on in post

flashing - ur irradiance map is casuing issues. try this

If you render with any moving objects just use brute force and light cache and hit render. This will stop any flickering of animation but at the cost of render time

It's more like noise on the leaves of the trees and plants.
I'll check it out.
