im trying to make a stone and would like to get the edges to look non even like this pic here:
is there a tutorial some one can link me to please.
im trying ot do it myself by making a rectangle and then i dont know what modifier to add to it,am i thinking right to get a stone effect?

take a look at the displacement mod that should get you on the right path :)

yes thats the perfect stone,thats the tutorial i saw and followed,with the only exeption that the stone really too distorted,i would like for it to be more rectangular and not so jagged.how can i get it to look more rectangular??

i'd try adding a ffd modifier after the first cellular map goes on- that is of course if adjusting the cellular map doesn't work

a ffd is that abbreviation of an effect in the modyfier list?

nah- ffd is a modifier
there's ffd sphere, cylinder and box with two below them that has user defined parameters
it sets up a grid that you can modify which in turn modifies the underlying mesh
ok- then back off the spherify modifier- put it to far less than 100% or just don't use it at all
