Stuff you stick in your professional work when bored
show user profile  Nik Clark
Hey.

Do you guys ever stick odd things in your work when bored? I stick odd things in, because I bore easily, and I like to see what I can get away with.

I just stuck this into a presentation. it appears as a magazine on a desk as a camera slowly pans past the desk. I wonder if it will ever give one of the viewers a giggle, or if it's just me that finds it funny to do this.

Anyhoo. Yes, I'm bored.

I like stuff like this it adds a little bit of character and depth to the final product without being obvious or off putting.

interesting to watch the audience: only really attentive people will notice such funny things.

While not professional, I did have some fun with the Operation Anubis mod for Battlefield 1942 that I worked on. If you can beach the PT boat backwards, the back end says "Kiss my ass" in bright green below the waterline.

Ha ha, I'm glad I'm not the only one that loves stuff like this.

9krausec, lol, that's so not subtle! :)

owtdoor, I played that mod! I never noticed that, I wish I had! BF1942 was awesome, and had great mods. My favourite was Bf: Desert Combat, which was phenomenal.

Extra points for anybody that can spot the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy tribute in the picture I posted....

I always wanted to put my face on something. Real small like that broccoli pack that you've probably seen. If not, google it.

Funny. I would possibly never do something like this as I would be too scared to get in trouble because of it (when being real work for real clients that is). But I would probably go too far anyway (like making a render for something related to jews then putting mein kampf somewhere around the scene or something lol) so maybe it's for the best hehe.

Lol just had to try to find a pic of AS now. I would say he wished he looked like that! lolz. http://www.londonmet.ac.uk/depts/cctm/research/researchseminars/2007-08/2007-08_home.cfm
