State of The Art Studio
show user profile  Phil Gornall
Hi, I thought I would post up here my State of the art studio.
The spiders, cobwebs and running water down the inside of the walls are by design. I like the cave look.

The CRT is about to go.. I will miss it's crystal clarity, but it is nearly dead and has a habit of not switching on sometimes.

As for the paintbrush, I am far to busy being lazy to paint the gaff.

If I do tidy it up, there is a very real danger that my wife will venture into my den. She won't come near it at the moment because it is full of spiders and big ones. I have names for the really big ones.

George lives just above my CRT monitor under the shelf, he is the biggest and feeds on small rodents and stray cats.

Albert is the garden spider that moved in during the summer and has very kindly taken care of any flies or other winged insects that wander into my den.

If you want time to yourselves guys, just get a pet spider. It works every time!

Mattias, I just checked out your artwork.. brilliant Zbrish skills there mate.

I have dabbled in Zbrush, but the GUI just has me stumped.

This was created using a couple of the modifiers that I managed to get the hang of.

You should have used a side reference of Mr. Stewart. If it weren't for references I couldn't model anything.

I did try to find a good side reference of Patrick, but I couldn't find a clear one.

Still learning.. curve is steep but I will revisit Zbrush at some time in the near future.

Forgot to say, the front on is pretty good.

Definitely keep at zbrush, it gets more fun the more you use it.

It was fun until I couldn't work out how to use the materials properly.
I hate the fact that none of the intuitive buttons do what you expect. i.e. delete does not delete, insert does not insert..

I actually burst out laughing when i saw how quickly this thread moved from `interesting office space` to the obligatory zbrush sculpt of Patrick Stewart.

Where is it you live that the spiders eat stray cats?? :)

Northern England.. Our spiders have tattoos and square up to you when you approach them.

Yea that's the last time I am posting that image.
