SSS a light shining through a skin material
show user profile  bigboots808
hi

so i am making this animation with an endoscope inside a body. it has a light on the end of it and i wanted to show the light from underneath the skin. i know there's SSS and translucent shaders, but i don't know how to make it show one light shining through like a concentrated glow in one spot.

how should i make this?

thanks

you know i've seen that one before. but not in a while.

so i'll basically have the epidermal layer glow red over the light then?

um, thanks for googling for me?

ah, you know, mostly what I was missing was a shell modifier and a direct instead of an omni! but the tutorial showed me to change the subdermal layer too, so all good now.
