spline vertex lock
show user profile  coss
hey guys

i want to lock the end of a spline so when i move the contigous vertex with soft selection the firts one gets no movement

is there a way to achieve this?... otherwise i would have to animate each vertex independently

well i kinda did it

i applied an IK spline control and then wired the position of the adjacent helpers to the one i want to move... a solution a bit basic, but works for me as id ont really need that much control.

if somebody knows another solution or THE solution id be happy to hear it:)

The Spline IK modifier is what I would use. Except, instead of wire parameters, I think I would use constraints (I think position constraint would work nicely) between the helpers. Pretty much the same thing.
Specialty: Non-organic modelling and effects.
Setup: 3D Studio 2010 with finalRender.
Rig: No, no I can't.
