Spherical environment
show user profile  zeefusion
When adding a spherical environment to a scene there is no control as to how big that "sphere" is in the scene. Is there some way of knowing/adjusting? How does it work?

If I were to apply the same map to a sphere and invert the texture I could control the size by scaling the sphere.

For example if you add a spherical environment and a tree appears huge in a reflection can you make the sphere smaller? Or would you have to add in more foreground to the environment map in Photoshop or something.

I believe that scale makes no difference, as it all projects to the same point, no matter how large the sphere. I think you need to alter what's in it to make it look "smaller".
