| Speedmodeling 2011 - Holidays Edition |
Sir_Manfred |
---------- The following text has been copied from StevegeK's previous Speedmodeling threads ----------
Introduction:
Speedmodeling is the challenge where you have to model something within the hour(unless otherwise specified). Then you post your result on MF. No other rules apply except for the time. If it's 10 mins more: who cares. If it's 20 minutes more: you should start to care. :-)
Why: Within an hour you can do a LOT, especially if you plan your idea right. If we post our stuff here, it's easy to compare our skills and LEARN from each other. What could have speed up your project? If you are behind others in an hour project, how much more time would you need on a project that takes others 20 hours? So, let's focus here on your workspeed.
Commenting: If you want to comment, try to help people here how to make the thing they did WAY faster. If we can teach each other to find new methods to do what they did in 30 mins, we'll all learn to work more efficient. And working more efficient = profit! $$$
Time: One hour. (unless otherwise specified)
Delivery: Modeling, final render shouldn't have textures/advanced lighting. If you have a studio setup ready, sure. But it's about the MODELING.
But most of all, have fun!

nice dude.
back when music came in packages, that would have made a great album cover.
a couple of balloons & bit of typography & you've got a happy new year e-card type thing.
looks like you win the famous maxforums bucket* of f-all.
* you must provide your own bucket & pay p&p & taxes on transportation of your prize.

Here's mine, saw something alike a while ago and thought about making the simple version of it.

Here's mine, it's not great, but I've never done a speed modeling thing before, so I thought I'd try. It's a hand crank air raid siren by the way.
