spaceship texture question
show user profile  Lazmo67
Hi All

quick question

I'm creating a concept space craft and have used the greeble plugin to get a nice panel effect.

Is there an easy way to combine this with a UV unwrap texture?

If I put the greeble modifier above the unwrap it messes up and underneath the UV becomes too complicated.

Don't really want to Mudbox panels as the greeble look is what i'm after

any help, as ever, greatly appreciated.

Can't you duplicate/detach the faces were you want the greeble, group them to the primary object, and then apply a UV Box Mod (to the separated greeble bits)? That's what I would do. No need to have all the UVs on one tile I wouldn't think.

Thanks

Tried something very similar in the end. duplicated, collapsed the mod and deleted the base panels. so the greebles are separate to the orignal. Not ideal but works well enough.
