So, how many here are working with Unity ?
show user profile  soontekk
I recently started some projects that require Unity.
Found a bunch of programmers to work on it but i am learning it as well just for the heck of things.

Just wondering who else here is working with it and what you are creating (commercially, independent, for a firm, non-profit,.. anything).

I am a very small part of the team working on it. I can't say any more because of an NDA.

It is the best game ever made!

A work in progress at the moment but we are experimenting with Unity for displaying high end product visualisation. We are after the same quality you would see in a typical still image. From that we are linking it to external HTML as a product configurator.

Awesome Nik! I love that game.
Particulairly love the recently released Career-Mode! :D Good job, sir!

Soontekk: Unity is great. I have played around with it a bunch bet never got any good at coding/scripting so I haven't been able to create anything awesome :(
But I enjoy the userfirendlyness and intuitivity of it.

I actully do like Unity, I dont code or anything like that, but when I do, I dive into the particle systems and intergrate the 3d into it.. I was readin a new way to play with shaders, this guy named Acegikmo had coded a simular way to put the Material Editor in UDK into unity... Ill post the link..

UDK like matierail editor|

I do play around with it right now and I really like the overall thing and that it supports so many platforms. What I kind of miss is some convenience stuff, like being able to align two objects to one another or that updating an FBX is quite a pain when you are using it in a prefab with additional components, because usually I end up rebuilding everything from scratch.

I know there are Editor scripts that extend the Editor, and I am currently looking into that
Unity is cool, thats for sure

never get low & slow & out of ideas

It's cool to see Unity being used for other things than games!
I think Unity is a very valuable tool to know, even for artists.
