Smoke and fire
show user profile  snookian
Hi, i am new to 3DS max and am doing a project for my uni course. So far i have animated a pistol firing a bullet, but i want to add a barrel flash (fire/spark type thing) when the gun fires along with smoke coming from the bullet shell and gun barrel. My question therefore is, is this best to done in 3DS max or another program such as after effects or any other video effect editors.

Thanks in Advance

Ian

Easy to do in 3D, but takes some adjusting to get right. Probably just as easy to do in After effects. either would work well.

He who says it cannot be done is interrupting the man doing it.
