Sky Portal isn't working
I just wanted to start by saying thanks to everyone who's answered my many previous questions. I'm positioning a sky portal inside a doorway to add illumination, but it isn't doing anything. The tutorial instructions read to render a certain camera, but no details are given on just how to do this. I'm note really even sure how to tell if the sky portal is on or off. The tutorial instructions keep mentioning to check and see that it's on, but once again, there seems to be a lack of detailed directions. Thanks for any help.

The sky portal itself will not give any illumination. Basically, it gathers light that is behind it and projects it forward. Like K-tonne said... make sure you have a skylight.
The sky portal should reduce the samples needed for the final gather.

The scene in question here does indeed have 3 skylights hovering above it. In the advanced parameters section, I was able to get the sky portal to work by changing the color source from existing skylight to either of the other 2 options, scene environment or custom. I'm just a little puzzled as to why it's not working from the skylight as the source.
