Sketchup to 3DS MAX
When I import a SketchUp scene in 3DS MAX I stumble upon some problems mainly regarding materials. Basically this problem breaks down to this:
When I import a scene from Sketchup to 3DS MAX and apply some materials I don't see any displacement or bump maps while if I apply the same material to geometry I created in MAX all the maps display correctly. I hope the attached image will illustrate my problem.

Not a sketchup user but is it a uvw problem in max?

can't help you here but you should check the state of your geometry, when I import stuff from Sketchup to Max it's all broken to individual triangles.

Thanks! A simple UVW Map modifier did the trick!
(My 3DS MAX knowledge is very limited because I create my models in SketchUp or Rhino and use MAX solely for rendering.)
I'm familiar with that. I need to use tessellate modifiers on everything before I can use displacement modifiers.
Edit: Sorry for the big images. I'll try to keep them smaller in the future.
