share itunes over network
show user profile  zeefusion
i recently took an interest in sharing mine and my girlfriends itunes music library over a network. didnt think it would be hard, but it turns out its a nightmare and theres hundreds of solutions which i see on google but im not sure which one is best.

i want to join 2 itunes music folders together and sit the single folder on a network drive where both computers can access the music through itunes. be able to drag and drop add playlists and music, change ratings etc.

i see itunes has something already of the sort but it only allows one machine to be the host and the controller. i want both machines to have equal rights to deleting, adding files and playlist creation.

has one one successfuly done this yet??

cheers.

yeah its an option in the itunes program which means "COPY/MOVE" but they call it something different. It lets you copy the music to another persons I tunes folder. It's real easy except they don't name it "copy"
