Setherial: Portrait a Day

I've dedicated myself to drawing at least one portrait a day (at least one that I'm happy with) or die a horrible death where my balls are crushed in a freak accident and I'm left to suffer for at least one hour before the rest of me follows.
If my cousin Jan (http://janopdebeeck.blogspot.com) can do it so can I (I mean dedicate the time to doing this every day on top of everything else, not reach his world class level ofcourse)

Nice portraits tho, not really my style tho.

whats up with day 2 face tho? imo the deformation is overdone

here is day 2/caricature 2 (my brother again)

Maybe it's the wine I had at dinner but as far as I'm concirned I'm pretty happy with day 2. I like the deformations on image 1 day 2. The likeness is there (I'm not posting refs because of possible copyright) and the deformedness is IMO refreshing. to me at least :) Most of the time I'm pretty anal about incorectness like this.

Jock: yeah he does now you mention it :)

VKotek: Two of these caricatures are folks from the E-Caricature boards who posted their pics over there for the purpose of drawing them. I would love to do a bunch of maxforums peeps. Everyone is free to send links to their mugshots to "david -a.t- davidopdebeeck -d.o.t- com" and I'll see what I can do :)

mrgrotey: yeah it's a big deal and I really suck at dedicating myself to anything outside of work being the chaotic, depressed mental disaster that I am. That said I think I'll manage for at least one month. That are a lot of drawings. I estimate I should see a real difference in a time span of less then two months and if so it will have been worth the effort. So lets see if I have what it takes. First goal is end of April! I hope I can count on the encouragement of this wonderful community :)
Also If there is one thing I want to realise in my life then it is to master the skill to draw a flawless portrait that I can be truely proud of and that brings a smile to the face of others.
