Selecting only visible Edges
show user profile  Alan
I tried searching maxforums but could not find an answer to my question.

I have an editable mesh object (quite large) which I want all visible edges from chamfered.
When I go into edges mode, I can only select all the edges (also the invisible ones).
How can I quiclky select only the visible edges?

Thanks

have you tried pressing the loop button after you select one of the edges from the chamfered section

I think the loop button is only available in "Editable Poly" objects, not in editable meshes.

The entire object is closed, there are no sections.
What I want to do is chamfer the entire objects edges 3mm at once.

um you can still access the poly modifier from the modifier tree.. and um your best bet i would say is using the loop, ring and grow buttons

I made a screenshot of one of the objects (of which there are over 100 in the model).

Using loop, ring and grow would take a lot of time for all those objects, has anyone got other ideas about how to do this easier/quicker?

I tried the poly modifier. Now some hidden edges won't be selected, but some still are...

I guess the objects are too complicated or something.
