Select one vertice
i'm new to 3ds max and and been trying to create a boot.
but i'm having a problem with my vertices..when i tried to select only one 5 or 6 are selected.
i tried this one a simple form and didn't get this problem.is it because my boot has too many vertices?
thanks for the help

If you click you select only one. if you drag and select you probably select vertexes in the back also.
Try to only click directly at the single vertex to select it.

You didn't accidentally turn on soft selection in the edit poly/mesh menu did you?

Its possible you could have turned over to the paint seletion mode
too. You should go back to the rectangular one
