I see this suspicious change of sig as an attempt to psychologically undermine the opponent's self confidence.
Just sayin'..

I`m thinking a monstery / creaturish take on Rodin`s TheThinker for this one..

Currently attempting to sketch out my ideas - insert rudimentary drawing skills here :)

Basically, I thought I'd only be able to start on Saturday. I've semi moved back into my parents house as my girlfriend is going through some family troubles at the moment and her sister has moved up from London. As such, I'm not living where my max computer is half the time, and I was planning on devoting evening/night time to this thang.

She was supposed to leave on Saturday but has prolonged her stay until Monday, maybe Tuesday!

So, get a head-start Dave, set the benchmark... I'l begin properly then, maybe do some quick sketches away from my computer in the meantime.

Edit:
Also, I was thinking along the lines of a pose similar to 'The Thinker' by Auguste Rodin, yet bending the entire theme to something more hellish and monster-like as I go along. Hopefully I'll do it justice :)

Sort of where I'm going with this... I like greek/roman/norse mythology, so I'm going to for bull/minotaur head, elk/deer/stag antlers, thoughtful pose - and possibly vulture wings, undecided yet.

hehe... my 'inspiration' from The Thinker sculpture is mainly a cop-out since I doubt I'll be able to completely portray a 'thoughtful mood' based solely on a bust or a face.

At this stage I'm veering more towards a full body, but that depends on how the base mesh building goes; depending on whether I like the Minotaur head, the stag horns, the vulture wings, the pose etc.

This will be my first bash at creating a character in a pose, purely for sculpting and beautifying.

I think the thoughtful expression and hand gesture would make a nice bust, but i`m just avoiding the full body, so will see how it goes..

It`s a huuuge challenge to even attempt something like the thinker, but will be a great learning experience to at least try - as you say character in pose will be difficult, might be some basic skinning and repositioning after sculpting method or something along those lines..

Kinda scrapped the sketching / concepting which wasn`t wise but i just wanted to do some sculpting. Not very `monster` and completely the opposite of what my initial thoughts were for this, so probably scrap this and have a proper go at some full body stuff ( which is guaranteed to be horrendous ).

The problem i have with sculpting is that i JUST CANNOT FUCKING DO FINE DETAILS!! I realllly need some tips and to do some tutorials on this. The last head in the following image you can see where i`ve tried to do these strap things, have tried and tried again but cannot get a smooth flow or tight details - overall form i`m quite happy but beyond that..
