Is there a script to render to Quicktime in 64 bit?

I have a 64 bit system and heard (read) that Max can't render to .mov using this script...

Does anyone know of a plugin of sorts that'll allow rendering to .mov?

If you have some sort of commandline app that can convert avi to mov, it'd be relatively easy to write a little script.

Do you require audio in the quicktime? If not, render to an image sequence and open it up in quicktime pro and export as .mov.

OR for a command line util like Deb said, use FFDshow

Stills will work although clips are better

I'd like to import a clip into Premiere as a Title bar but .mov is the only option. It doesn't really matter if I drop a clip on the main stage.

I'm trying to create an animated logo that loops continually at the bottom of the screen, like CNN, Fox has as a brand.

In max's material editor I remember seeing 'alpha is gray'. Does that play a roll in Premiere as to what where there's transparency?

I should probably start a new thred in 'non Max Related'

ah, misunderstood - I thought you meant for animation previews.

Don't render straight to a video file. Thats a terrible idea.

I read that in the script I pasted as a URL. I abandoned that thought and now need to find out how to make the alpha channel transparent in Premiere CS5
