scanline renderer camera -image-motion-blur?
show user profile  daniel frisbee
very dull question, apologies... trying to get the scanline render to do an image motion blur. Comping some stuff from a shakey camera bouloued in but trying to keep render times very low. Final render which I normally use does a great job but takes an age, I'm looking for a cheap motion image motion blur, not the multi-pass option in the camera roll out. Is there a way to do this?

I was sure I'd done it before just by turning on image motion blur in the camera's object properties...
many thanks

yeah I had forgotten to enable it on everything...
be interested to know how much of a difference it would make to a hollywood block buster if they used image motion blur... it doesn't seem that shit to me when it's subtle. anyway...
all working many thanks

You'd be surprised how many hollywood films use some variation of image motionblur.
Not for everything, but where it makes sense and you can get away with it.

I think I didn't manage to get it to work for the camera after all. The objects are only blurring when they move, but not when the camera does. Anyone know if you can get image motion blur explicitly through the camera? Is there a setting somewhere I've missed...

heartening to know the pros cut corners... a friend of mine in that industry did say the whole thing is a massive bodge job..
