scaling / map issue
show user profile  Tbone08
I need to animate a measuring tape that scales/grows up. the texture needs tp frow with it.
the problem is that it starts scaled down on the X axis (to fit within the tape).
how do I scale the model up while keeping the map same and moving out with it ?

You are animating the tape coming out of the casing by scaling it length wise to increase its length, right?

Don't scale it. You should model the tape at full length. 100 x 1 or whatever it is. Use a path deform modifier and deform the tape around a helix shape and animate it between its retracted and extended states.
