Router config question
show user profile  soontekk
In many places where you get free wifi internet access you are directed to a specific webpage owned by the company or business that is offering the service.

Any idea how a router can be configured to do this ?

Linksys WRT54GL is a popular easy to customize ADSL modem/router with wifi.

(the above example seems to use a paid service)

Google combinations of "hotspot" "linksys" "captive portal" "get rich quick" to get started.

Hey thanks c0
I had no idea thisz could be done in this way.. i used to own a wrt54
I'm really looking for some good pro routers that offer more than just the home needs and the splash page config should also be in there
Seems cisco has a small business range but no clue what they offer.
