Weird...when rotating an object it also gets skewed...
show user profile  adammichell

Back to basics here...the rotation tool ha.

OK so when I go to rotate, the whole model gets scaled and skewed along with it.
Tried reseting x form, resetting pivots, scaling points...but not a clue how ive done it.

Any ideas?

Cheers guys

create a primitive object, convert to edit poly, attach other object, delete primitive, reset pivot. :)

He who says it cannot be done is interrupting the man doing it.

@jareu: Pretty sure you need to convert the primitive to Edit Mesh, not Poly. I could be wrong though.

Pro tip: Align the primitive to the pivot of your object first, then you don't need to change it after the fact.

You guys don't like the ResetXForm? Always works fine for me.

@adammichell: looks like you have non-uniformly scaled your object at some point. When you need scaling, always do it at one of the sub-object levels.

Garpodian, he said he tried resetting xforms... although I'm always suspicious when someone says they have, as there are two-types in Max... and I'm not entirely sure of the differences.
