Rigged model following an path

Hi,

I'm trying to learn animation in 3D studio max.
I have rigged an angel that I would like to fly around in a circle.
When I added a skin modifier with the bones I can't let the model follow the circle using a path deform modifier. I wonder if I'm doing something wrong or if it's not possible to use path deform with skin modifier.
Please let me know and sorry if my english is bad.

Try a path constraint on the root of the rig.
