Retrieve Bitmaps quickly
show user profile  Speedy
You know, everytime when I return back to old project... The bitmap of a mapped object path is lost, and I would manually have to go through files and retrieve image again. But this time, in my scene, there are about 100+ image mapped on few objects in my scene, That would have taken up half of my day to manually retrieve images on every object. That is time I don't have rightnow. So I suppose there are solution for it?? I mean is there a way that max could do search process to find matched image name and pick it up quickly? Are there any plugins that can preform this?

Thanks in advance

just include the new path in the external files list in the 'configure user paths' window

Well you know... I have 100 different texture in about 50 different folders category under 'texture' folder as parent. So when pulling up 'configure user paths' I still would have to spend almost half day targeting each texture on each folder in categories.

Unless I am missing something?

Hmmmm.

Add the C drve as a path, tick "Use subfolders". Load the scene. If that works, use the resource collector to pull them all into one directory. When finished, remove the C from the paths.
