resulotion question
show user profile  stevey2shoes
Hi
Just something that's been bugging me for a while......

I have no reason to render anything unless its screen size (1920x1080), but every time I start from scratch I have to manually find this setting and reset it.

Is there anyway I can set 1920x1080 as my standard setting, I've looked in the obvious places but cant see anything

Right click on the resolution, set it to what you want

Ok tried it but it still loads up with the original settings,
thats just given me the option to click one button to set them to my resolution so I don't have to type it in. ,
Is there any way it will then keep that as the standard setting so I never need to change it again,

you could save a renderpreset with your favourite settings somewhere and then have a very simple script lie in your scripts\startup folder that loads the preset. sorry no time to look up the code but it is just a single line

Just setup and save a scene as maxstart.max, your settings should be there everytime you reset/restart max.

no, fair point dr jim, but it would just be nice if I could have the thing set up as I like it when it loads, instead of me having to go round and do the same stuff every time

right click on max > run as administrator

if your using a work pc you may need additional permissions. if your using yur own pc make sure your either admin or UAC control is on the lowest setting
