Couple of Residential interiors, twilight mood
show user profile  inxa
Hello,

A couple of residential interiors for a developer. They needed a more twilight light look rather than morning or night feel.

Here are the first tests,

Masterbedroom -

Living -

3DS MAX and VRAY
No post in PS

Hope you like the renders

I will keep updating the thread as it progresses

C's and C's welcome

Nice!
For some reason the bottom one has a better twilight feel... I think it might just be the warm pallette in the top render.

How did you do the glowy strip light around the ceiling please?

Hello,

Markoid - Thanks. I agree. There is a more yellowish and brighter feel and more light.

I placed 4 vray lights less height and made the width match the false ceiling sides. Gave a high multiplier.

Here is a update,

I forgot or mis-read something due to which I had to re-render the living. The walls were 1.5 times the height and had windows above it. Had to change the light as well a bit.

C's and C's welcome.

The only thing bugging me is the outside looks like a clear sky at mid day. Which confuses my brain after seeing the rooms have a night feel

Hey,

ali3d - single piece as in. It's marble all over the house floor.

west - You can't put the spot lights cause the false ceiling goes away.

horizon - Don't confuse your brain so much, the background isn't final. There will be a exterior render of the landscaping which is being handled by another 3d studio.

Yeah the outside color is the only problem I can see, and it should be fixed :)

Looks really nice otherwise :)

Really nice around the seating area! The perspective on the high ceiling kills it for me though - could you straighten this out with lens correction or something? I think if it went straight up rather than distorted would make a huge difference..
