How do you reset the X,Y,Z Gizmo? Can't set it back to object after transformations.

So when i first create an object my select and move, scale and so on gizmo is right on my object but after I have moved it around and rotated it, it is like 10 metres away from my object so I can't get up close and move it around easily.

I have tried to find a way to like reset pivot points, re align the gizmo and so on but its just miles away from my object I need it back!

Please help thanks.

is there an issue with the working pivot? Does your object have a small piece that's hidden or stray in the area that the new pivot is ending up? Have you tried Xforming?

The only way I know how to reset a pivot point is...

UI: "Hierarchy" Tab > "Affect Pivot Only" button > "Center To Object" button
Maxscript: centerpivot $

you can also set a pivot to match that of another object but not sure that would help you much here.

Or the System Tab -> Xform Reset. Then collapse stack. I think this is your best bet.

@ Herfst1: Good call on the X form didn't come to me immediately.
@ Dantaeuk: Glad you got it all sorted.
