Renderman price restructuring and free non commercial version.

Don't know much about it really, but pretty cool they are offering a free non commercial version. Is it a stand alone renderer? What are the options for integrating with Max?

uh,http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Moon_Rendering_Tools
offered up some ways to get renderman/prman work, but it's ancient.

This is very interesting, it should be exciting to see what people can make with it; that said, it's the artist, not the tools. Renderman didn't raytrace for a long time, Pixar's just magic about working around the tools to create spectacular imagery.

Interesting. Are there any RIB exporters that we can use with modern versions of Max that don't cost the Earth?
