Maxunderground news unavailable

rendering transparency issue

I'm using 3ds max 2010 32bit
added background picture to environment,For car paint material I used car paint material(pro materials),and when I render the car is transparent,I think it's because of car paint setup(but there are way too many settings there)tried setting car reflection to background image no good,please help been trying to solve this for weeks...Thanks in andvance
I know I tried changing to spherical but than the car does not match the road :(
also cyl and shrink,and about the reflection map slot there are about 15 of them it looks like very complicated setup,tried that aslo..any other solution?

Ahh... You car is not transparent. It is simply reflecting the exact same thing as the bg image.

You either need to change the mapping type to spherical (or anything other than screen) by dragging the environment 'bitmap' into the material editor and choosing 'instance' then changing it there. Works best with hdri's.

Or apply the environment bitmap just to the reflection map slot, not the bg.

Edit : and there are probably other ways... :)
