rendering problems (big time noob)

Good day all, I was wondering if anyone would be able to give me some insight as to why my models keep rendering as transparent? I use a few programs to take FF11 models and import them into Max. now the models all have proper textures when I'm editing them and so on, but the moment I render them, they turn all ghost like. even if i apply the maps to another model like a sphere, then the sphere will become transparent. I'm thinking there could be a problem with the textures, but then why do they look fine when I'm viewing them in the perspective window? any advice?

uhm.. chet the opacity maps of your textures? maybe the see through value on the object proprieties ?

It may be a long shot.. but try adding a 'normal' modifier.(flip normals box checked)
