Rendering animation with videopost effects
show user profile  3joez
I've set up my animation, my video post effects (lens flare), added image output event, and saved everything as an avi.

I then opened it in Vlc, and videopost effects are not showing (as they did in the flare preview window).

What am I doing wrong?

You need a camera event (before Filter Event and Output Event). I do believe that the Lens Flare filger events re quire a camera to work properly...

That should work (bit rusty in VP though - haven't used it in about 6-7 years or so) :D

you also can't hit the regular teapot render button. you have to use the running man button 'run' in the video post window.

I've put a camera event, as you can see in the image. It doesn't let me swap, though, camera event with the filter effect.
At the end, it doesn't work.
And yes, I'm using the man's icon.

I noticed that it works fine if I select to render single frames. But not if I select a range.

hate tank is right, first of all the "image input event".
if it won`t let you swap it - delete all and start a completely new one.
not forget to save your lensflare settings.

Wow, I'm trying everything and it still doesn't want to work.
The preview window looks ok, then when I load my pngs in ram player, the video post effects dont show.

your stack needs to be

>Lens Effect Flare

   >Lens Effect Flare

all the events needs to be in that order AND all come from the root 'queue' level, not staggered from the object above it.

You dont need an image input event, only the camera input. you use image input if you have pre-rendered images that you want video post effects put onto.
