Render segmentation map for each object
show user profile  maartend
Hi

Does anyone know if there's an efficient way to render segmentation maps/images for every object individually? You can probably make the objects visible one by one, and then render the Object ID, but that will take a long time with multiple objects in the image.
Especially because I need to render millions of frames.

Thank you in advance.

What render engine are you using? Do you need to do each object individually on each frame, or one image per single object? If its the latter, you could animate each objects visibility to a single frame, and render out, the number of frames being the number of objects, but you would lose occlusion.
With Vray you could use the objectselect render element.
