Reactor - Spheres becoming inactive

hey guys, i joined up because theres some good tutorials on here and i hoped someone could help with my problem

basically i have a bunch of spheres in reactor moving down a slope, but if they stop moving for too long, reactor renders them inactive untill touched

is there a way to stop this?

If they are on a slope, what makes them stop?.... or is that the problem?....need more info.

well for starters its a very shallow slope, not too shallow though
second they roll down to a hole at the bottom where they await theyre turn to drop into said hole when it opens, they all gather at the opening and if they stop moving they become inactive

Try giving the balls a bit more physical mass and lower the friction settings on them too.
Lower friction on the slope too.

ok, ive made the slope steeper and increased mass by alot to keep them moving, and the friction is down to 0.05, but now i have a new problem, at the end of the slope they go into a pump to be pushed upwards (the tube for now simply curves back over the catching pit to recycle)

as they get pushed up they get to a certain amount and they start intersecting, as if the balls weigh too much, ive got the world collision tollerance set to 1 or 2 but it doesnt stop it, they still intersect at a certain point

is there a way i can stop this? or prevent it? ive tried increasing mass of the balls more but to no avail (i dont actually have a clue what im doing, this is all still new to me so i thought id try somthing myself first :P)

keep in mind that reactor is physics sim and as such you need to stick loosely to scale and mass as it would be in the real world.
How are you pushing the balls up the tube?
Show us a screenie of what you are attempting.

the arrows show the direction of movement

the way the marbles get moved up is this:
the block drops, moves across, pushes up, then moves back
the marble drops into the hole, and is pushed up and out at the other side

its relatively simple

i dropped the mass to 5 and they got alot higher in the tube (as shown) but then they start colliding again, but with lower mass comes the inactivity problem..
