Noob here. Quick question about extruding and beveling
show user profile  QinetiQ
Hi gents,

I'm quite new to 3DS Max. Been using Cinema 4D but decided to switch to Max. Anyway, I've got this path of a logo exported from Illustrator. I've managed to import it and extrude it but I'm not quite sure how to get a certain look. Please take a look at that

See how the top of it is not flat? I looks extruded and then shrinked to get that sharp edge on the top while the sides are a bit curved. Is there quick way to do this in Max? The logo is really simple so if anyone is willing to do it for me, I can send you the file. :) Thanks in advance guys. Cheers

I don't think you can do that kind of beveling with automatic bevel and an imported spline.

you will be off better poly modeling it I think.

Hello there

Extrude, then 'collapse' the top edges, select the side edges and 'connect' them, them 'push' the newly created edges.
