A couple questions regarding UDK (or another engine?)
I'm doing some research for a potential project that requires the use of a game engine. The interactive aspects are pretty straight forward:
-Static mesh on screen that the user can rotate around and zoom in and out of. (A model viewer essentially)
-Simple UI to switch out models
-Engine must support stereoscopic display (and potentially mobile platforms, but that would be a ways out).
I'm currently experimenting with Unreal for this, but it has a lot of functionality that I don't need. I'm not having any issues with the art pipeline, that is easy enough, but the UI and user interaction are still a gray area for me.
Does anyone know of a good tutorial for building something simple like this in Unreal? I'm not trying to make the next great MMO or FPS here and a lot of the tutorials I've found focus on functionality that I don't need.
Any other engines that may be better suited to a job like this? I have used Unity3D before, but I don't think it supports stereoscopic display.
Thanks in advance for any input.

Aside from the stereoscopic display you want, it seems like Unity would be a better fit. A quick google leads me to a bunch of forums where people are scripting/adding stereoscopic displays themselves, but as K-tonne says... it could be a pro version thing. I really don't know!

Thanks for the input guys. I will look into some of those Unity scripts and see what would be involved there. We have made
headway with UDK, but any additional input/ideas are welcome.
