Quadify a rounded rectangle spline
I remember that Herfst was a hero at this. I am modeling a table, and have a rounded rectangle spline
to extrude. Things is I need to chamfer that.
Do you know a workaround to obtain automatically a good quad topology?
Right now I'm box modeling it again from scratch and matching each vertex to the spline. But I suspect I'm missing something.

I'm a hero? Cool. :) Never been a hero before.
I'm a bit hazy on what you're after. There's two possibiliities I can think of.
1. Surface modifier.
To use this you need an all quad spline layout. You'll need to use the refine-linear-connect to weld up some verts so that's it's all 4-sided spline polys. Now add surface modifier. Turn tolerance down to 0.001. Collapse.
2. Connect copy.
While in editable spline sub-mode, select all and click "connect copy" box on right-hand menu. Now shift-drag.
Just thought of a third one... though I doubt this is it.
3. octagonal or hexagonal spline.
You just enable "renderable in viewport" and adjust the number of sides to 6 or 8. You can also go to the "interpolation" rollout and knock the interpolation values down.

The problem is that the spline doens't have a quadrilater layout and connect copy does the same thing of extrude (except that it does it with splines). I guess I'm poly modeling it. Thanks anyway

I'm pretty sure I could connect it up.
If you want, you can send it to me and I'll have a bash.

I've already did it. Thanks Herfst
