|Problem with shadows in max 2012|
Hi everybody, I have a big problem with max 2012 :
When I put a light and switch on the shadows, light get through the object when there is an intersection with an other object.
Here you can see a render with absolutely nothing, just a plane with a front and back standard light :http://canada-report.blogspot.com/
I have already search what can be the problem but I didn't find. So I already try to :
- Get a render with mental ray
- Try with all type of lights
- Check my environmental parameters
- Test with all types of drivers in 3ds max
- Re install 3ds max
- Test it with various shaders, with 2 sided object on
- My graphic card drivers are updated
This is the first time I try max 2012 and I never had any problem like this with the other versions.
Is there anything new in max 2012 who can get this problem?
I have the same problem with the realistic rendering in the viewport, is there a link?
I really don't know what I can do and I really need to finish a work quickly so I hope someone can help me!

whats up brother, does this happen when you make a basic scene, i.e. if you make a plane, add a sphere, and then light with one omni, scanline render? Are you using a legit version of Max? If so, Autodesk should have something on this, including hotfix.
