Probe in your a$$

So.. We all loved our first cars? Right? Now matter how shitty they were in retrospect. Well, I've decided to immortalize my car foreverz in the realm of computer animation.

I'd like to introduce to you, two days of work! I'm getting faster, better, stronger... harder?

Ladies and Gents, I give you the 1990 Ford Probe-

If sexy could drive... it would drive that.

Good start. Obvious little errors here and there but nothing a little tlc couldn't fix.

P.S. I am deeply offended by the title of your post. ;)

Not bad for two days of work. I see that you still have some lines to chamfer on a front bumper...

^Lol @ ScotlandDave

Yeah, shit's messed up. I jumped the gun and wanted to make a thread. I'll keep posting as I go. The bumper and horrid, hah.

So.. I've started using creases. These things are amazing. Anyone see any downfalls with using them? Besides not have a low poly mesh that can be exported into different software packages to be turbosmoothed with proper results (considering the lack of edge/support loops)?

Cheers guys, will have an update for you tomorrow.

What is/are creases? Is it some modifier, or program?

I can see one or two mesh errors.

No, not your model, in the reference photo...

@Herfst- This-

I'm trying to use it as much in my workflow as possible because it's awesome.

@BMChris- Those aren't mesh errors... those are character amplifiers. :D

I strongly recommend you NOT to use creases. Just chamfer the edges that you need sharp.

I don't question your authority on this matter, but why would you stray from using creases Sangre?

Creases are based on edges IDs that often might change and they will sharpen the wrong edges after that. What you need is a clean mesh that works well with raw Turbo/mesh smooth. Other then that it doesn't look so well...

Just saw the vid. Huh, never knew about that. Sangre's right, don't use this. Why? Watch the end of the vid.

@Sangre- Good point, I've already had to reset me creases a few times after adding some more edges. Ugh, I was excited to not have to do support edge loops anymore... Damn.
