| Preventing texture distortion on animated character |

Hi guys, I'd really appreciate some help with this. I'm a beginner, but I need to figure this problem out in a big hurry. I'm not too savvy on UVW mapping, so please keep that in mind.
I have a simple character with bones and a skin modifier, and bitmap textures on it. I applied a UVW map modifier under the skin modifier. But when the character moves, the textures all shift and won't stick to the model. I need to have this figured out by end of day, but I'm not finding much to go on. Thanks so much for any tips!

This is a simple question, and I've had this happen myself. However im racking my brains as to what I did to fix it.
I would first collapse the stack at least to the unwrap.
Once you have unwraped to keep those nicely set out uv's just collapse the stack. Best thing to do is clone your character , then on the new one, collapse the stack and see if that fixes it.
It might be to do with projection uv's , sorry not to be able to help further. Someone heer will know, but I haven't used max in ages :)
Good luck and post a solution when you figure it out.

Unfortunately trying this didn't help. But thanks anyway, I'll post again if I figure it out.
