How can I get Premiere or AF to recognize the alpha channe from an AVI created in Max? Or do I need to mask it?

its awful to render a avi out of max but if you did make sure you had whatever codec set to render alpha and ap or ae should pick it up. if you want better quality rerender to a sequence like tga or exr .

I created a series of .png and imported them and they work great. I want it to move with the track I created and link it to the null.

The pickwic isn't available on the png layer, do I need a container of some sort for the laso thing to appear?

How do I get the animaged image linked to the null?

pick wip only works on layers that are moving not the footage. Use the motion tracker

Thanks, the column the pic wip was in wasn't active

In AF I reduced the work space down to a few seconds, How do I go back to the whole clip as the work area?

Why .AVI??? What happens if your render crashes halfway though? Look into rendering to .EXR sequence! It's pretty much tits.

Take note @ 3:00 & 3:45

I see in the EXR rendering configuration there's an 'add transparency' option to the G-buffer channel, I should do that if I want AF to recognize the alpha channel?

Run without compression?

The render doesn't have anti-alias, where might I turn that on?
NM...AF was set to 1/3 res

Any other pointers you might give me rendering to .EXR?

What does "Atmospheric "FusionWorks Renderer" is not supported" mean?

Rendering to both .png and tga using FumeFX and mental ray (I know very little about), I get the following message...

SYSTEM: Production renderer is changed to NVIDIA mental ray. Previous messages are cleared.
MSG 0.0 9 MB error: Atmospheric "FusionWorks Renderer" is not supported.
MSG 0.0 61 MB error: Atmospheric "FusionWorks Renderer" is not supported.

Duh...The result has no FumeFX...I got's to got back to using the scanline renderer.
