Polygon divide into rectangles
Hi, I have to make these walls have these wood material with different extrude heights each wood. Any tip to divide these polygons into straight rectangles to make the woods? I draw on green an example.
First I thought of floor generator but as the walls are irregular it gives me problems the plugin. Also I know I can use the cut tool on edge mode but that will take much time. I was thinking of something faster as topology.
Also I dont know how to give random extrude height to the faces.

Your best bet is via texturing. Can create a bump or normal or displacement map. Doing it by hand (via modelling) will be a pain in the ass.

Floorgen works on zplane. So either create the shape of ur wall and lie it flat from top view and create a rectangle, select attach spline from ur r3ctangle and attach the shape then and delete the rectangle to erase the xform and then run floorgen. It will work fine then u rotate it back up to the wall. Bit of a work around but works fine.
Use railclone if u have the plugin it comes with presets for exactly this on any wall or floor.
My new favourite is rayfire plugin. The new free demo comes with a modifier for creating tiles or wooden planks for any geometey. Easy to use and is parametric. Cant work out how to copy the link from my phone but type in YouTube rayfire brick modifier

Update: I already found a script, sorry guys.
