png file with shadow layer
show user profile  Joey Parker Jr.
I have a png file with an alpha channel.
Is there any way to add the shadow layer to this file and have just one file?
Here's the image without the shadow. I have to animate this spinning with the shadow under it.
In flash. And I'm using vray. I'm thinking a matte/ shadow kind of thing maybe?

yup
if using vray,....use the Vray mat wrapper material, and set the affect alpha or whatever to -1.
Forget the exact setting (max isnt in front of me).

btw - THe normal standard material 'matte/shad' does NOT work with vray,...hence use the vray mat wrapper material.

If you're animating this in Flash, just import the PNG as one layer, then on the layer below have your animated shadow. You could even just create the shadow as a vector shape in Flash and animate that. It will keep the file size down compared to an image sequence.
