Please suggest a video card
I need an inexpensive as possible ($200-230) video card that will drive dual display's and work with MAX 2012.

Get the most expensive Nvidia gaming card you can afford.

voodoo2 (if this was 1998)
I would suggest nvidia if you want something over 300... but since your not in budget
Get an ATI 6850 or 6870. $200, very very decent for its price (better then the graphics card I use for my main workstation)
edit: I agree with Westcoast

My GTX 560 is excellent and good on a tight budget.

I also have a 560 in my home machine. It's a very capable card. It runs Crysis 2 on ultra@1920x1080 and doesn't struggle with anything I do in Max.

I'll FOURTH the 560. I don't even have the Ti version and it's still solid.
