Please help 3DS Max problem

Im trying to apply texture to my model but the polygons are acting weird.

If anyone knows how to fix this please tell!

imported 3DS? look into smoothing groups and unify all the normals.

Press F1, and type those words, and you will be given instruction on them.

For a quick fix, add a SMOOTH modifier and see if that fixes it.

thats pretty basic, dude... ;)

well... first off, add a normal modifier and tick "unify normals". Then apply a smooth modifier and try around...
