Just wonder if there is nothing wrong about this finished work:

wheels are wierd and blurry, whole scene is very washed out, strange reflections on the paint, mesh grill looks like some one has got at it with some wire cutters, headlights are very dark, wall texture is very low res and has no detail and the lens flaire is just wrong.

If you want crits then...

It's blurry
It's noisy
There's too much lens distortion
You can barely see the subject, especially the wheels, due to all the visual effects
Low res floor texture
Low res wall texture
Headlights are too dark (unless the glass is supposed to be smoked)
the wing mirrors seem wrong in the way they join to the body and an odd shape
The ridges on the bottom of the doors seem over exaggerated.

Overall the modelling looks ok although the panel seams seem too small/thin.

Shouldn't it have some sort of door pillar?
Overall it looks too dark and too contrasty to me.

the half piece of the car that is visible and is closer to cams must be lighter and and its better to make front the car (on the mark AuDY) lighter and more light focus...Finally it's too dark... But ITs very good...

Yeah, now I see it's definitely not too bright. That's my first mental ray render and there are also some shadow issues on this render:

There's a lot to learn about mental ray lights... Is there some nice tutorial about studio lightings for mental?

what? are you some kind of glorious god of scanline, so all the materials already looked great and then you just tossed it in Mental Ray?

yeah, it's got all the flaws people are pointing out in composition and such, but it's not exactly a first image either.

oh, and since i'm probably supposed to be offering crits, there's weird little glints coming off the tires in the latest image. They're too shiny it seems. i like the tires in the one you called your first render much better. although it may just be the angle. did you change the material?

I used to work with VRay render, materials and lights. This is not my the VERY FIRST mental ray render, It's the first model I've rendered with this renderer. There were lots of abysmal trials that were not worth saving and I guess this is the best I can do with this renderer so far...
About the tiers I guess it IS the angle. Don't remember changing the rubber material.
I like the way Arch&Design material works but I'm lacking the practice of using it.

Well I thought it would be nice to learn how to create models that wouldn't require VRay or ather plugins. Just a clean 3DS max.

Eh, yeah. I guess that is a good thing to know for a certain extent. Can't disagree with you since I just ordered a book to learn how to use strictly max to create natural elements. Although it is a good thing to know if you don't have much money to toss into CG software, I would rather use Realflow for water simulation than just in-house max particle system. I would rather render with Vray than in-house mental ray. If you have the software available to you, use it.

If not, the only thing you can really do is use what ya got.

well, still brutal honesty goin down at MF, i remember i used to spend hours an hours an hours on a model to have it torn apart :) used to do my head in, i think when you have been working on a model for ages you kind of get snow blind, its good for fresh eyes to rip apart your work, specialy if you used a face textue to cut corners an then sombody spots my eyes was just a short cut in MF eyes darn palgurisim. loads of lessons to be learnt here for sure:)
The cars over all shape looks good just need to fix all the things people have pointed out. keep on rockin in the free world.
