match the metal eraser... binding to the wood better, it looks like it should fall off. also, your lead is too doark. and eraser seems off somehow, but i don't really know how.

The name is sometimes stamped in which could add a little interest.

And the actual point (the black part) is really small. The diameter is usually wider/thicker...

Looks too white/bright too.

Have a look at dd's website, he's done some pen models that are good.

Where the tip meets the wood is too straight. If you look at a real pencil, they never *quite* get the lead absolutely central inside the wiood, the result being that the lead/wood boundary section is at an angle. If that makes sense :-P

I do like the surface of the metal on the end.

I would try to make the rubber look a bit worn. This might seem a bit weird but every pencil i ever owned had bite marks in it >.> maybe put in a few indentations. The lead looks too flat, like it needs some specular.

Some rubber/wood shavings on the ground?

as a render is is good quality, be nice to see it on a table or desk, the white background is a bit much, and defo a makers stamp on the side, be good practice for the unwrap and a bump. Like the mats, maybe a bit of reflect on it, but you need an environment.

"too much radiosity "

What does that even mean?

Radiosity is not something you dial up and down.
