Well I'm going to take the plunge and do a self-build, and so far the spec is:
Intel Core i7 2600K Unlocked, Socket 1155, Sandy Bridge, Quad Core, 3.4 GHz, 8MB Cache, 95W, Retail
MSI P67A-C45, Intel P67 Express, S 1155, PCI-E 2.0, DDR3 1333/1600/2133, SATA 3Gb/s RAID, ATX
8GB 1600MHz DDR 1.5 RAM (as a start)
GeForce GTX 560 Ti GPU (as a stop gap until I can afford something better)
Usual 1TB 7200RPM HDD, SSDD, Blu-Ray player, Windows 7 Professional etc. etc.
I have to wait for Intel to sort out the Sandy Bridge issues, but otherwise I'm about to start ordering parts, so wondered what the more tech-savvy guys think?
This is my budget maxed out, but I think it will be worth it...
Today is a gift, and tomorrow is not a promise, so love life!
